How does covering the processing fee work?
When you choose this option a small percentage is calculated and added to your total donation. The fee depends on the amount of your donation and the payment method, and will be shown to you before final checkout. You will have the option to remove the processing fee option before submitting your final transaction.

- The full amount of your donation plus the processing fee is deposited to the organization's bank account.
- If your donation is for a tax-deductible purpose, the full amount of your donation plus the processing fee is reported as such on your contribution history.
Selecting this option helps your charitable organization and does not reduce or impact any rewards points or promotional programs offered by your credit card or bank.

Credit Cards : 3.45% + $0.50
- Donation amount: $100
- Processing fee: $3.95
- Total donation charged to your card: $103.95
- Amount eligible for tax-deduction and bank rewards: $103.95
ACH Electronic Check : 0.4% + $0.50
- Donation amount: $100
- Processing fee: $0.90
- Total donation debited from your bank: $100.90
- Amount eligible for tax-deduction and bank rewards2: $100.90
1 Organizations may require the processing fee be covered for certain types of transactions, such as program fees and tuition. In this case, the fee will be applied automatically and cannot be removed at checkout.
