The Catholic Charity Appeal funds numerous ministries and programs of the Diocese of Providence, providing support to thousands of Rhode Islanders each year regardless of race, creed or background.

It provides shelter for the homeless, food for the hungry, serves handicapped children, offers tuition assistance for Catholic school students, supports programs for the elderly, trains future priests, support senior priests and funds hospital chaplains.
