The Archdiocese of Los Angeles will host the 90th annual Procession and Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, December 5, 2021. This year’s theme is “Always Forward in Mission and Hope,” uniting this long-standing celebration with the special Jubilee Year in the Archdiocese commemorating the 250th Anniversary of Mission San Gabriel, the founding church of the Archdiocese. It is fitting that the 90th anniversary of the procession coincides with this historic Jubilee year since St. Junipero Serra entrusted his ministry of establishing the missions in California to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This beautiful celebration commemorates the miraculous apparitions of Our Blessed Mother Mary to St. Juan Diego in 1531 and celebrates the love and devotion of the faithful to Our Lady with the oldest religious procession in Los Angeles established in 1931. This annual event is possible thanks to the financial support of Guadalupano groups from different parishes, donors and the faithful, and is presented at no cost to the community.
All funds donated on this site will be used to support and cover the costs of the event, which has become a moving and vibrant tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego, uniting our community of faith through her message of hope and love.
