Holy Family Catholic School-Giving Tuesday

Great News! An anonymous donor was so impressed by the community turnout and support of Holy Family’s partnership with OCW Wrestling that they have donated an additional $2,500 to Holy Family. The best part-they have also offered a Challenge to our Holy Family Community for this week's Giving Tuesday Campaign. Here's the challenge: Every dollar donated toward our Giving Tuesday Campaign we will receive a matching dollar! So, if you donate $1, it's really like donating $2! This will be matched up to a maximum of $2,500. Let's saddle up Mustangs and ROCK this challenge together!

Please consider a gift or pledge to help us reach our "Giving Tuesday Goal" to purchase the following items for our classrooms.  All proceeds benefit Holy Family Catholic School.  Thank you for your support!

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Initiative

3rd grade has really enjoyed using the one anatomy model we received this year, but more models would mean more students have more “hands on” experiences. -$160

5th grade has a standard for engineering in its curriculum, and the Discovery Center has an hour long field trip tailored perfectly to that. The trip is $150 plus $10 per student, that will get us an hour of instruction and two hours exploration time in the building. We’d be the only ones in the building! - $340

6-8th grades would LOVE the opportunity to conduct hands-on experiments related to matter, reactions, etc. using scales, sifters and beakers. -$150

Reading and Books

K-2 English-Spanish First Little Readers: Guided Reading Levels A-C (Parent Pack): 75 Bilingual Books That are Just the Right Level for Beginning Readers - $75

4th grade is raising funds to give each student at least two books to take home — one fiction book and one nonfiction book. We hope that these books will inspire students to read with their families. Children are taught how to read at school, but the real joy of reading is found at home. - $280

6-8th grades are raising funds for several novel sets:

Fever 1793 - $160

The Watsons Go to Birmingham - $160

Extracurricular Activities

The Band program at Holy Family is growing! There was quite a bit of chatter about bringing in used band instruments, and we received a few...BUT now’s the time to turn that talk into a reality. Help us praise God through music through donations. -$600

Student Publishing is looking to create a dynamic yearbook this year as well as improve their contributions to the Mustang News by incorporating more pictures into their stories. 2 digital cameras would make that possible! - $250
