TKIO is an intergenerational family oriented a faith-driven conference that is a collective venture of four states including Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. This
conference fills the gap between the NBCC (National Black Catholic Congress) and IAACEC (Interregional African American Catholic Evangelization Conference). TKIO provides opportunities to enhance the skilled talent of the people of God by training the intergenerational participants through leadership development. Workshops, general sessions, and large group actives are some of the methods to achieve the following goals: Promote Africentric leadership training for vibrant parish life; provide tools to identify, recruit, equip, and support emerging leaders to strengthen parish ministries; and provide Africentric evangelization and leadership skills talents for the intergenerational population in order to respond to our unchurched and inactive Catholics.
