Thank you for supporting the work of the Office for Respect Life Ministries for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Our work encompasses a host of issues as mentioned in the Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities (2001), including: support for pregnancy services, post-abortion healing, advocacy for the disabled, and care for the chronically ill, dying, those on death row and victims of violent crime. Your financial support goes a long way to help us continue our work in education, advocacy, legislation and prayer to create a culture that respects life at every stage of existence from conception to natural death.
Pregnancy Care Services
These funds will be used to support our training, education and spiritual support days that we offer the frontline workers in our local pregnancy care centers, who directly help women in crisis pregnancies with the support they need to choose life for their babies, whether through parenting or the gift of adoption.
Project Rachel (Post-abortion healing)
These funds will be used to make our retreats and support groups more affordable to women who need healing from a past abortion, to pay for volunteers to attend, or to provide scholarships for those who need them. They are also used for advertising costs of letting people know about the ministry.
Ministry for the Deaf
These funds will support the cost of bringing ASL to various Archdiocesan events, as well as travel and related costs for our Deaf Chaplain in his work of serving the deaf community.
Ministry for Persons with Disabilities
These funds will be used to provide resources for persons with disabilities such as: catechetical resources for children needing sacramental preparation but cannot learn in the typical classroom environment, events for persons with special needs and education opportunities for volunteers.
Mental Wellness Ministry
These funds will help subsidize costs of support, training and organizing volunteers for parishes running mental wellness ministry in their family of parishes.
January March for Event in Washington, DC
These funds will be used to help fund the annual bus trip for youth to Washington, DC for the March for Life event each January. Any donations can offset the overall costs to each student, or provide individual scholarships.
Wherever it is most needed
These funds would just be used for various office expenses and supplies related to advocacy and education on any number of life issues.
