Established and founded in 1871 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School has been serving students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade for 151 years. The heart of Sts. Peter and Paul is its commitment to the strong Catholic formation of its student body. We do this through the preparation for leadership in a diverse world by educating all dimensions of the young person - spiritual, emotional, social, moral, physical, and intellectual.
While we spend our time growing our school through God, Academics, Family, and Community, it is also important to remember that built to last schools survive and thrive by preserving the core values of the institution while stimulating progress. The heart of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School is deeply rooted our history in New Braunfels; a history filled with stories, laughter, and more than a few life lessons. The continuing core goal is to conserve the heart of our wonderful Catholic community while continuously fostering and promoting academic progress.
Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School serves many purposes. It is a school by day and serves parish ministries by night. SPP continues to grow, adding additional classes per grade. updating beautification projects, continuing to address technology needs, and even being blessed with a new White Bus from the thrift store.
How are we maintaining our physical plant?
Over the past few years, we have addressed most of the flooring in School of Grammar, are in process of updating paint in all buildings, brightened our SPP Blue in areas that need it, and thanks to Father Steven we have a newly designed logo for our school letters for our 8th graders. We’ve provided shelving in the library, guided reading books for multiple grade levels, and continue to purchase furniture for the Primary School grades PK3-Kindergarten. New this year, all classes in the Primary School maintain aides in their classrooms, which have proven to be some of the biggest assets for both students and teachers at SPP. With school growth comes more students using our technology resources. Currently we have a guest on our campus who is working closely with teachers expanding their instructional technology expertise. SPP is continuing to rotate and update devices currently on the inventory, as well as exploring technology resources that would benefit our students. SPP continues to emphasize digital citizenship to both staff and students through the program Common Sense. Your support for these projects has been tremendous and we have seen great improvement; yet, we have a long way to go. With a waitlist in all grades, SPP’s goal is to continue to improve and display to the community why their children should begin their education here at SPP.
Every year during this time we have things like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but did you know that there is a Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give in whatever way they see fit.
This year when you're considering who you will gift too, we humbly ask that you consider us. We have many "special projects" that we would like to conquer here, and any little amount helps us do just that. Two great ideas for giving are $18.71 since that is the year that Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic school was founded, or $151.00 since that is how the school has been providing a superior Catholic education.
There is much sustainment, restoration, and modernization to be done, and having a general fund to do just that will allow us to make the changes, updates, and purchases necessary to continue stimulating progress.
We sincerely thank you for your consideration as well as your precious time. We hope that you will join us in supporting our efforts.
