Please consider contributing to help us to create a culture of inclusion and meaningful participation for persons with disabilities and their families here in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. As a new office, your financial support can truly make a huge difference to assist us in providing more resources and opportunities for parishes, families and individuals!
On top of providing accommodations at Archdiocesan events and parish consultations and trainings (including ASL interpreters, Sensory-Friendly tents, educational resources, guest presenters and other incidentals), our office is in the process of providing some unique opportunities. WE NEED YOUR HELP to make these happenle. Please consider donating towards one of these unique ministry areas to support our office:
Deaf Ministry: Due to a shortage of priests who know ASL, we have been working to bring in Deaf Priests to provide sacramental opportunities for the Deaf Community across the Archdiocese. Each of these quarterly events costs around $1000. Please consider supporting this ministry. It is so important to Deaf Catholics to have access to the sacraments in their own language.
Retreats for Adults with Developmental Disabilities: Beginning this Lent, we are planning to begin providing bi-annual day retreats for Adults with Developmental Disabilities. Please consider assisting with the cost of these events. Our goal is to provide these opportunities for as low of a price as possible to enable all people to participate. Expenses will include: facility costs, materials, and food.
Mental Health First Aid: We hope to begin offering Mental Health First Aid training around the Archdiocese for all staff and interested volunteers in May of 2022. Please consider supporting these efforts to assist us in providing these services. Costs include training, materials, and facility fees.
