The Care for Creation Ministry in the Archdiocese of Chicago is dedicated to building up missionary disciples committed to protecting the planet and the flourishing of all life. Instilling a culture of respect for all of creation in the Catholic Church responds to the urgent need to mitigate the crises that exist in our world today. By way of this, the Church can respond to God’s call to care for the “cry of the earth” and the “cry of the poor”. Through the promulgation of the Holy Spirit, Pope Francis invites us all in his encyclical, Laudato Si’, to commit ourselves today to carry out the values and ethos of this urgent mission. Your contributions to this critical endeavor in the Church will help in expanding existing Care for Creation ministries in the Archdiocese of Chicago and to create a home where all life can thrive.
