Hello, my name is Anthony Mitch!
Growing up, I spent a large portion of my time searching for comfort. This search for comfort was due to my struggles with depression, anxiety, and body image. I found comfort in the sins of the flesh, but I was left feeling empty and alone.
During the summer going into my sophomore year, I went to a youth conference. During adoration, I felt the authentic comfort and peace I’ve been searching for, except it wasn’t from sin, it was from Jesus in the Eucharist. Immediately, I felt a desire to share this love with the person sitting next to me by praying over them.
I am so grateful that I can confidently say that I wouldn’t trade my suffering for anything, because God met me in my suffering. These past struggles have helped me to approach the people I encounter with empathy and understanding, searching for common ground rather than division.
Why I’m here-
As a High School graduate of the class of 2026, I am taking the next step in my life by volunteering to be a first year missionary with Amazing Nation Ministries. We will go around the US putting on retreats and events for youth as a way to extend the invitation of new life that Jesus has given to each of us. We do this through a variety of games, activities, and an attitude of joyful authenticity.
I’m so excited to spend this year of mission with Amazing Nation and to share the impact that God has had on my life. I’m also excited to simply spend time with so many of these young people who are not much younger than me, to meet them, and love them, right where they are at in life.
Thank you so much for your support! Because of your prayers and financial gifts, thousands of students are reminded that they are loved, valued, and desired by God.
Favorite Bible Verse-
John 4:42 “They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of your words that we believe; for we have seen for ourselves, and we know that this man is truly the Savior of the world.”
