Description

I grew up in Syracuse, NY, with 9 other siblings and a family rooted in the Catholic faith. When I was 12 years old, my younger brother lost his life to a rare brain tumor. Fast forward 5 years later, and my older sister died tragically in a car accident. I was devastated and extremely mad at God. As I continued to navigate those years of my adolescence and young adulthood, I struggled to cope with these deaths and I turned away from the faith. As I entered into college, I was quickly introduced to a world of darkness and I soon was on the path of addiction and self-destruction that began taking over my life. After 10 years and a bunch of chaos I had created, I felt an undeniable call to change my life and return home to Him. I spent a couple years in a catholic community, away from the world and its vices, and I allowed Him to finally heal my heart. During this time I rediscovered my relationship with Christ and my identity in Him. I learned to embrace this cross that He wants me to carry and to not run from it anymore. I found forgiveness for those dark years through His mercy and I was able to get in touch with my childlike spirit again. I could finally see beyond the partying and the addictions that so much of the youth today fall into, and I saw what I truly wanted this whole time was to just be loved by Him. It was in my most broken place that I found hope again. All of which was only possible because of the prayers and support I received over the years; I never walked this journey alone. My testimony of healing and hope is one that I want to share with young adults across the nation. We all suffer, but we don't have to suffer alone - the way through it is to do it together. With prayer and trust in Him, He will always take care of us. Through the work of Amazing Nation, I want to help other struggling young adults find healingforgiveness and joy by encountering Christ so that they can discover who they truly are again. I want to show them that in a world of darkness, there is still hope!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
