The Missionary Cooperation Plan is an annual collection that connects our archdiocese with missionary causes around the world.
Fr. Francis encouraged Fr. Alphonse to register his school in Rwanda to be one of this year's beneficiaries. His school was approved by the Archdiocese to be the designated agency receiving funding from our parish for the Mission Appeal.
Fr. Alphonse's school in Rwanda, Groupe Scolaire de Janja, Saint Jérôme, is a boarding school for over 900 students in middle school through high school. Their main need right now is a new dining hall and kitchen. Fr. Alphonse told me these areas were run down because it is where large numbers of people took refuge during the civil war there. So the area was greatly overused and is in need of serious repair.
Let's give Fr. Alphonse's school the help they need.
