Description

Acclaimed Italian artist, sculptor and coin designer, Chiara Principe, has designed the coin in Rome to reflect the order and the moment in history being celebrated.

The centennial medal depicts the edicule containing the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem with the years 1926 and 2026 on each side and the number 100 behind it. Circling the edge of the medal is “The Order in the United States of America.” On the reverse side of the medal is the image of the Jerusalem cross set in front of a representation of the gothic rose window of St. Patrick’s Cathedral symbolizing the historic role the New York has played in the life of the order in the United States as the original seat of the American Lieutenancy and its later successor the Eastern Lieutenancy.  Circling the edge of the medal is “Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.”

Each medal is 2" in diameter cast in 2oz fine silver with select gold plating.
